In January 2021 a car door crushed his ankle. Three years later he was the last one standing out of 100 on Netflix — and in 2025 he won again, with Team Korea on Physical: Asia.
January 2021. Riding a scooter to the gym, Amotti was hit by an opening car door that crushed his ankle bone. A doctor told him he might not walk again. He was two weeks away from filming Steel Troops. He withdrew, and his competitive CrossFit career ended there.
Rehab took about a year. YouTube became his work — the channel recorded a body being put back together, one session at a time. He stopped competing. He never stopped doing CrossFit.
In 2024 he entered Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground. Knocked out in the second quest, he came back when Jung Ji-hyun picked him for his team, and won the final pillar push against Hong Beom-seok in the third round. In 2025 he won again — this time for his country, as Team Korea beat seven other nations on Physical: Asia.
No special preparation for the show. Just the usual training.

It started as Armour Hong — his old Instagram handle was @armour_hong. It became Amor Hong, then Amotti, the “-tti” a playful twist on the Korean honorific “-ssi”. Today the handle is @amottivation.
With lululemon since 2021, testing product and giving feedback during development. Named the brand's South Korea ambassador in June 2024, and featured alongside Lewis Hamilton in its Winter 2025 Train campaign.
